Revision tips

I hate revision but unfortunately exams means I have to revise.

I know a lot of people don't have there phone with them when revising because it distracts them but I have to listen to music as it helps me concentrate so I need my phone with me however I also get distracted so easily so one thing I do is put my WiFi off and flight mode on on my phone so I don't get any notifications.

It is always important to stay hydrated when revising so I always have a bottle of water by my side whilst revising.

Flash cards. These are literally my life during exams as they are a great way to test yourself if you don't have anyone to test you. They are also great to test yourself on the morning of the exam as you don't have to have all your books out you can just quickly go over your cards and it will all be fresh in your mind!

Have a break. It is so important to give yourself a break even if it's just sitting and watching a 5 minute YouTube video although I tend not to do that as I usually get a bit too carried away and manage to have over an hour break when I only planned to have a 5 minute one!

They are all my revision tips! Put your top revision tips in the comments and you might learn something new from someone else!
Good Luck to anyone who has exams at the minute!

Post exam

Hey everyone

This is my last post before exams as they start in 5 days (HELP!)

English is my first exam and one of my worst subjects so I am dreading it. I have been trying to revise and learn quotes as much as possible but I get so easily distracted (it is actually unreal haha!)

My mum bought me rescue remedies pastels which I hope will help me because I am not good in exam situations which isn't great seeing as I have to sit 6 very soon.

I have also never wanted to eat so much in my life! I don't know what it is about revision but it just makes me eat all the time so during study leave I'm gonna try exercise otherwise when I go back to school I'm gonna be at least 10 sizes bigger haha!

Anyway good luck to anyone who has exams or anything like that! Let me know in the comments your bad habits whilest revising!

Sorry this post isn't the usual but with exams it's been harder to write them so I thought it'd be easier to do a chatty one hope you enjoyed it anyway!

How I clean my make-up brushes!

Hi! We are nearly at exam time-so I'll apologise now if I am very inactive. I'm going to try my hardest to still tweet and upload my posts every Wednesday but I'm afraid school does have to come first!

Anyway, today I thought I would write a little post on how I clean my brushes. This is something we all have to do even though it is no fun at all!

Firstly I get a bowl of warm water( not too hot!) and wet all my brushes before mixing some shampoo and I also use tiny bit of conditioner in to the water- I find using conditioner just makes them that little bit softer. The shampoo I use is just the Tresemme shampoo and conditioner~

I then swirl each brush before rubbing then in this facial cleansing pad I have. Of course this is supposed to be for your face but it works perfectly to take all the make up of brushes. Once I've done that I will run the bristle under the hot tap to rinse them.
...And that's it, that simple!

I hope you enjoyed reading- or it was the least bit useful!

What's on my iPhone!

Hello! Before you read this I would like to quickly say sorry about the blurry pictures!
This is not something you would usually assume with a blog but rather YouTube. However  I thought it would be fun to do. I'm going to show you what's on my iPhone and share some of my favourite apps.

I have the iPhone 6 in space grey, I only got this recently and I love it! It's such a nicer design compared to my old phone, it's a lot sleeker and just generally looks better.

My lock screen is just a picture I took while at a beach of the sunset. When my phone is unlocked we come to the home screen, this just has the general apps that everyone has. I do however really like the health app as it tells me how many steps I do in a day which I find quite  interesting !
Onto the the next page- my favourite- is where all my social media apps are, my favourites are definitely YouTube and Tumblr- I can spend hours on both! I also have Depop on here, this is where you can buy and sell clothes- I recommend downloading it as you can get some pretty cool stuff.
On this page you may have also noticed the folder, this actually just holds all the pointless apps that you get given, don't use -but can't delete. They are pretty annoying as they just take up storage space!

Finally on my last page I have my games, a revision app and my editing folder. I only have two games 'Stack' and 'Slither.io' I actually love these both but beware -they are pretty addictive!

I have the BBC Bitesize app which I recommend to everyone, it's has helped me so much with my revision. Finally I have two apps which I just use to edit my pictures!

I hope you are having a great week so far and that you enjoyed reading this!Once again  I'm very sorry that the pictures are a bit blurry- as soon as i added them to the post it happened!

Thank you for reading~T42

Shopping, pizza and the chocolate lounge

Hey everyone
I recently went shopping with my friends, which is my favourite thing to do especially because all I have done this holidays is revise so it was great to have a day off and just relax and have fun.

Of course we went to Pizza Hut for lunch and this has to be one of my favourite places to go!

We then looked in top shop and h&m but there wasn't really much in so I didn't get anything.
Then we went to super drug and I wasn't planning on getting anything but then my friend pointed this face wash out and said it helped to clear her skin so I thought I would pick it up!

(This smells amazing and I think it was only £3.29)

The next place we went to was probably  the highlight of my day (ngl)! We went to The Chocolate Lounge I got the chocolate s'mores brownie and it was the best thing ever!

(not a great picture but I'm now craving this soooo bad!!!)

We then went into a few more shops and I picked up a couple of tips from primark and a matte liquid lip colour from new look.

(striped top-£4  green top-£3 )

(only £3.99 and it has amazing staying power as I've only just managed to get the swatch off my hand!)

I hope you enjoyed this post let me know in the comments your favourite place to eat!

Hair Care Routine!

Hi! I realised I've never done a post like this so I thought it would be fun to write. It's something a bit different than usual so I hope you enjoy! I'm going to explain my hair care routine and the products I use.
My hair is a funny colour, some parts are very light blonde and others are dark and pretty much brown- this is my natural hair colour .I have very thick hair, meaning it takes hours to dry!

In shower routine-

I wash my hair every second day using the Tressemé "Salon Silk" Shampoo and conditioner. I lather the shampoo all over then rinse and with the conditioner I run it through the ends and leave for 2-3 minutes before rinsing out.

Every week/ second week I will apply a hair mask, the one I've been using for ages now ( and repurchasing) is the Argan oil hydrating hair mask. I apply this once again just to the ends and leave for around 10 minutes.

Once out of the shower I will take the John Frieda "Frizz Ease" serum and run this though the lengths of my hair while it's still wet. I always leave my hair to dry naturally over night. This serum not only combats frizz, it also protects my hair against heat.

A definite go to product that I could not miss is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in "Oriental". This saves me on many occasions if my hair is looking a bit shiny or just needs an uplift.
I actually really enjoyed writing this post and I hope you enjoyed reading it! I hope everyone has had a great week so far ( and that it continues to be great!) and I will speak to you again next week!

Thank you for reading!

How to stay somewhat motivated!

Motivation. Somthing I lack a lot of. Unfortunately we have exams coming up meaning I need to stop watching YouTube and films all day and actually start doing some revision. To be completely focused on my revision I HAVE to be motivated if I revise when I just can't be bothered then nothing I do will sink in and it will be a complete waste of time!
This post is probably as much to help me as it is to help you guys Haha!

Getting up when I wake up makes me feel so much more motivated. If I wake up and then laze around in my bed for hours I'm wasting a lot of my day (because lazing for a few hours can last a while!) also ( I don't know why but) getting up as soon as I wake up seems to always put me in the right frame of mind making me already (half) motivated.

Somthing I've been getting into a lot lately and enjoying (woah I can't believe I just said I enjoy it!) is working out. I've been doing this for about a week which may not seem like a long time but for me keeping it up that long it is a VERY long time! It just helps me to relax and distress . I either do this first thing in the morning or, because it's getting lighter at nights, on an evening.

Having something planned to do at the end of your revision. For me this is really important I love knowing that once I do my revision I'll having something good to do after for me it's usually laying on my bed with loads of cushions and a blanket and watch YouTube, teen wolf or an old film like wild child which will always be one of my favorites!

I hope you enjoyed this post let me know in the comments what your favourite film is!!

Things I love!

I've discovered recently during writing posts that I would much rather write a chatty post than one that has a proper syructure. I love rambling on , so why not ramble about some things I love!

1. Coming of age movies!
By this I mean films that follow a story of teenagers growing up and facing different hurdles along the way. Some of my personal faboutites include 'The Perks Of Neing A Walkflower', 'Prom' , ' The art of getting by' and finally my favourite 'It's Kinda A Funny Story'.

2.Baking
I've done many baking posts and in each one I've mentioned how much I love to bake. I've loved it ever since I was tiny~ I wasn't much use then as all I wanted was to lick the bowl! Haha. My current favourite thing to bake is Lemon drizzle loaf from Tanya Burrs book.
3.My Dogs
I love animals in general- however I'm definitely a dog person. I love my two dogs a lot, they are both Labradors- one black and one chocolate. The things I love about dogs are they are always so happy, the smallest things make them wag their tails!

4.Sunny weather
Living in the Uk I don't experience this very much but I love when the sun shining and it's warm outside. Everyone seems so much happier. Not to mention I love things that are related with the sun such as- beach days, barbecues and picnics!

5.Blogging
How could I not mention Blogging! I've been writing posts for over a year now and I love it,  sharing posts and reading what others have written I something I really enjoy and  hope to continue to enjoy.

This was one of my favourite posts to write as it of course involved the things I love! What do you love? Tell me in the comments section!
Thank-you very much for reading!

What's in my bag~causal weekend

Hey everyone
So I ran a poll on Twitter and you guys voted for a what's in my bag so that's what I'm doing! This is everything I take in my bag on a causal weekend.

My bag is just a plain black bag with a shoulder strap and a gold clasp.

The first thing I always carry in my bag is my portable charger. I have the pink power bank and it is actually a life saver.

I then have my blue purse which is from primark.
I always carry round a powder because my face gets so oily so my powder is a must have!
I then have my lipstick that I'm wearing on that day and I'm currently loving velvet teddy from MAC.

The last thing I have in my bag is a travel sized perfume from new look which I only recently received but have been loving!!

That is everything that I have in my bag apart from all the rubbish that is usually at the bottom!

Thanks for reading let me know in the comments what post you'd like to see  next week!

I would also just like to say thank you so much to everybody who has read our posts it means so much I can't believe it has been 1 year since we started this blog! Let us know in the comments your favourite post we have done so far because we always love to hear from you!

Thank you!!!!

Wednesday 30 March 2016

One year later.

On the 24th of March 2015 our blog first came about, we were sat in a class that myself and Megan  did not really enjoy ( to be as nice as possible about it ) when the idea arised. That night as soon as I got home I wrote our introductory post and published it. It is now a year later and we still continue to publish two posts per week. Over the past year we have both loved writing posts and sharing them online.

One of the reasons I've loved to continue to create posts over the pastry year is because I  love interacting with other bloggers and reading their posts. One thing I love the most is discovering new blogs and seeing different bloggers style of writing. I love the blogging community as there is room for everyone, whatever you enjoy you are free to right posts on  and share then with others who enjoy the same things as you. For us personally this year we have went down the Beauty and Lifestyle route ,but who knows ,in the future we could do something a bit different!

Finally I would like to say thank you so much to anyone who has took a tiny bit of time out of their day to read out posts, it really does mean a lot. We hope that you continue to read and enjoy our posts in the future. I  also hope that I will be writing a post like this in another year to come ,and that our blog will continue to develop.
Also if you ever want to leave any suggestions for posts feel free, any comments are greatly appreciated.

3 Quick and easy snack ideas!

I love snacking(unfortunately!) so I'm always looking on Pinterest and YouTube for tasty snack ideas, however I never have any of the ingredients in my house. This made me think of doing a post showing snacks that you will actually be able to make without going out to the shops!
They are all very quick and simple and will not take you long to make(or eat!) .

Snack 1 Fruit dippers
Chop some fruit and place a spoonful of Nutella/Greek yoghurt in a small dish or on the plate- Yes, that's all to it. This may sound so simple but it's definitely my go to.
It can even be healthy if you use low fat yoghurt- I usually go for the Nutella option...

Snack 2 Fruit sorbet
Take your favourite frozen fruits, I chose raspberries, mango and blueberries. Place them in a blender and Blenddd. Blend until smooth and combined before spooning into small dishes and freezing for a short time until frozen -but not solid. This should not take long as the fruit is already frozen. Enjoy! This taste delicious!

Snack 3- Nutella Popcorn
Yes! Nutella and popcorn together!
Heat some oil in a pan before placing around half a cup of popcorn kernels in . Once they've started to pop wait until popping has almost come to a halt and turn of heat- they will continue to pop.
Once finished popping place a spoonful of Nutella in the microwave for 30 seconds and then drizzle it on top.
Now enjoy! You can even keep this in airtight containers for later if you make too much.

I hope you enjoyed this-I certainly did as I got to eat them all afterwards!
Remember to tweet us-@TeaT42 if you make any of these!
Thank you for reading!

Full Face Make-up!

Hello! Most of the time I like just to wear the most basic make up, but every once in a while I do like to expand out a bit. I don't mean by doing anything crazy, for me this means just adding a bit of eyeliner and wearing foundation rather than just concealer-I know wild! Haha. So anyway I thought I would share what look I go for if I'm branching out a bit.

Face

Firstly I will take a mixture if the Rimmel match perfection in Light Porclain and The Rimmel Wake me up in Ivory   . I have to mix these to get the perfect shade. I blend  this using a mix of my Real techniques buffing brush and the complexion sponge.

For concealer I then apply the Rimmel wake me up under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose and then on my forehead to highlight these area. For any redness or blemishes I of course use the Collection  lasting perfection concealer in shade 2.
To finish the base I then powder with the Rimmel stay matte.Using the Real techniques Multi-task brush.

To contour I use the Maybelline Master Sculpt-I just recently did a post on this so check that out. I apply this in the hollows of my cheeks and on my temples.  For a bit of shimmer I used the  higlighter in this pallet on the tops of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose using the Real Techniques Setting Brush.

Eyes

For the base I used the Maybelline colour tattoo in "On and on bronze". This is a cream formula making it a great base for eyeshadow to blend on to . I then took my MUA "Hall of Fame" pallet. In the outer corner and crease I used "China" then in the inner corner "Lion" . I also took this along my waterline. I finished by blending it all out using the Essential Crease brush.

To finish of eyes I apply the Soap and Glory Supercat liner, If I'm up for the challenge I will attempt to add wings- which will most likely go wrong!

For my eyebrows I usually choose not to use any product and just brush through them with an eyebrow brush.

Lips

To finish of the look I usually go for a very natural lip colour, this is usually the Rimmel Apocalips in "Phenomenon ".

.....And that's the finished look! I love this look, it's definitely my go to if I'm  going out for dinner or to a party.

I hope you enjoyed this and I maybe gave you some ideas ofproducts to try out. All the products I mentioned I of course love and recommend! So let me know what you think of them of them if you try them out?!

Thoughts and situations in class!

Hey everyone
As you can see by the titled this post is going to be  different thoughts and situations I've been in class!

1- I hope my stomache doesn't rumble!
It's always absolutely silent when my stomache decided to start roaring and gurgling and I have no way of controlling I've tried holding my stomache in but it just doesn't work and it's so embarrassing!!!

2-why do they have to kick my chair?
I hate it when your in class and the person behind you feels the need to sit and kick your chair for the whole period

3- having to read aloud
I hate reading aloud in class so if we're  reading a passage from a book and we're taking it in turns to read paragraphs I always count the people in front of me so I can see what paragraph I have to read! Does anyone else do this?

4- when your in a test and everyone's turning the page
It's bad enough when you are finding the test really hard but then when everyone else is turning the page and your still on the first page it stresses me out so much because I feel like I'm gonna run out of time!

5- Choking
Ok so this might seem a bit strange but I hate it when you get a tickle in the back of your throat so you cough once to get rid of it and that one cough triggers a whole lesson of coughing and it's so embarrassing haha!!

I hope you enjoyed this post it's slightly different to what I usually do let me know in the comments any situations one you've been in in class!

Get The Look~ ~ Outfit

Hey everyone!

This week I decided to do a get the look cause I personally loving reading and watching these. However I thought I would just do the outfit today and the make up next week cause otherwise it's gonna be a really long post!

I chose to do it on Ariana Grande as I found this picture and loved her outfit in it as its really simple but still looks like you put effort into the outfit!

I just chose these plain black skinny jeans from primark as I personally love these I feel they are a good fit and are really comfy however mine are a bit worn now so I think I need to pick up a new pair when I'm in next!
She is then wearing a black kind of flowy crop top, so I choose this black one from Top Shop which is also slightly flowy.
Then for accessories I just choose pearl earrings as they are really simple and pretty so I thought they would match the outfit perfectly.

Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed this post! let me know in the comments if you want to see the hair and make up for this look!

Review~Maybelline Master Sculpt!

Hello! recently I purchased the Maybelline Master Sculpt Contour Kit. This came out last year and I saw lots of bloggers and vloggers mention it. I never got round to purchasing it at the time ,but i was recently in Superdrug and just couldn't resist!

It features a cool toned contour shade and then a shinmery highlighter. There is a choice of two shades and I got the darker of the two- I actually swatched the lighter one and I found that It didn't really show up on my hand.

The contour shade isn't the most pigmented but I like it as it's not too scary. I personally find it gives a nice natural contour. I love that it is very cool toned as it doesn't look muddy on your face and you can build it up for a stronger chiseled look. The only downside I've found so far that is it is quite hard to blend,it sometimes takes a little blending before it is isn't just a brown line on your face!

The highlight shade is very pretty. It is a warm shimmery gold colour. This gives the perfect highlight on the tips of your cheek and brow bones.

I absolutely love the packaging of this product as it is very compact and sleek. Underneath the product there is a small compartment that has a very reasonably sized mirror. I love this as it means it's a great product for on the go.

This compartment also contains a small brush which I did not know it came with. The brush actually surprised me when I used it as I was not expecting very much. It is definitely better than the silly eyeshadow brushes you receive in most palletes!

Overall I actually really like this product, I love the look it gives. I do however believe it's not for everyone as it doesn't give the strongest look- which is however build able .I think it is completely worth the price of only £6.99!

If you want to see more product reviews just tweet~ @TeaT42 ~ or comment down below giving me product suggestions.

Thank you for reading!
