Revision/ study tips!

I decided to do this post because it is so close to exam time and I know how hard it is to revise sometimes. I always get distracted and do other things so I thought I would try and help you guys!
Here's some revision/study tips:
Make flash cards
This really helps, just write down definitions or key points on the cards and it means you are only having to remember small phrases. Learning long phrases can be hard and I always get muddled so this really helps me.

•Use past papers
This is a great thing to do as you can do the papers and find out what you need to work on ,also sometimes some of the questions are very similar to what will be in the exam. You can usually buy these at any stationary shops or your teacher may give you some.

•Do mind maps/ spider diagrams
This is such a big help, especially if you do them with coloured pens. It means you can write down all the key information without it just being one giant list which I find very useful as u don't get bored as easily.

Make sure you stay hydrated and eat during revising!
This is very important as many people don't bother drinking it eating- this can effect your revising. If you are hungry or dehydrated your brain won't function as well as it. So make sure to have a drink beside you and a snack!

Give yourself breaks
If you revise for ages without stopping it is more likely you will get distracted and stop taking all the the information in. I also find if I don't have breaks I just start to confuse myself and forget everything. In these breaks do something that you enjoy but make sure you go back to revising once you've had a short break.

Revise with friends
Why not have a get together with your friends and make revising just that little bit more bearable. This will make revising a lot more fun and it will help you learn. You and your friends can quiz each other and share revision tips. It also means that you are not spending all the time leading up to exams alone.

I hole that these tips helped! I'm always looking for ways to help me with revision so please comment any of your ideas below! Good luck with any exams you have coming up!

Spring/summer trends of 2015

The style trends vary a little every year with new things becoming must haves, so I decided to write a post on what I see as being the 2015 trends. I've just taken inspiration from what I see on the streets,tv, magazines etc.

This year the one if the main styles is kind of 70s inspired with bold colours and patterns as well as many Boho inspired pieces of clothing such as long flowy dresses and skirts.
The one pictures above is from http://www.fashionworld.co.uk.

Flowery patterns : This pattern is definitely one of the top items though as it's seen every where, especially on printed trousers.
The ones pictured above can be bought at topshop online and instore.

Yellow~The colour that is everywhere this year is yellow, this can be quite a hard colour to wear but it does usually look good.

The reason I picked this top was because yellow can be quite a difficult colour to wear but I think this is a great way to add in a splash of colour as it would look great with just jeans,
This top pictured above can be purchased at River Island.

Croptops:These also seem to be a must have this spring/summer whether  it's a tight turtle necked style or a cami, they look good with everything and they can easily be dressed up.
I chose a cami in these colours because I find that black and white are both two of the main colours most years and they always look good.
This can be bought at River Island.

Distressed jeans/shorts: Jeans with holes and rips seem to be a wardrobe staple especially jeans with cutouts at the knees.

These jeans can be purchased at New Look.

spring/summer make up look

Hey everyone

I thought I'd do a post on my spring make up look. This is a really simple  (mainly because I'm rubbish at make up) and natural look.

First I use the Rimmel match perfection foundation in the colour 100 Ivory. This foundation is really light and dewy. It doesn't have too much coverage but I like that because I feel in spring and summer time I don't want a heavy, full coverage foundation .

Next I use the collection lasting perfection concealer in the colour, 2 cool medium. This concealer has such a good coverage without looking Cakey . However I wouldn't use this under my eyes as it would be a bit too heavy and thick.

I then finish my skin off with the Rimmel stay matte powder in the colour 003 peach glow. This is a really good product it doesn't dry your skin at all (and I have quite dry skin.) Your make up also stays in place for ages and I don't get a shiny forehead!!

On to eyes now. I don't do that much on my eyes, I usually just use a bit of the body shop define and lengthen mascara in the colour 01, which gives a really natural look.

I have just recently occasionally started wearing the soap and glory supercat eyeliner pen. I am rubbish at liquid liner it just always ends up halfway up my eye lid and never goes right, so I decided to buy the supercat liner because it was supposed to be easy to use and it defiantly lived up to its expectations it goes on really easily just like people say it does. This is definitely a new favourite!

Reviewing recent purchases!

I decided to do my post this week on reviewing some of the new products I've picked up recently.

Micellar cleansing water by Garnier.
This product is a clear, colourless liquid that should be used to remove your make-up. It works very well and removes mascara and eyeliner easily, it also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. To use this you apply it to cotton wool and wipe your face to take of your make-up. Overall this is a very good product and it can also be bought at a very reasonable price of £3.33.

Bodyshop BB cream.
This product comes in four shades,it comes out the tube white then when you apply it to your skin it is supposed to adapt to your skin colour. I find mine is a bit dark ,but not to dark to wear. I find it gives a good amount of coverage and doesn't look cakey. The worst thing about this product is the smell- it has a very strong, bad smell. Overall I think this is an ok product but I did expect a bit more for the price, which is £12.

Collection "Work the colour. Lip butter"
I picked this product up in the shade vintage rose- which is a nice pink shade. I really like this product as I'm not very brave with lip coulours and I found they had a great range of more natural colours aswell as bold colours. It has good pigmentation and it's very moisturising on the lips. I really like this product and it can be bought at a great price of only £3!

Bodyshop make-up brushes.
I recently picked these up, I find them great quality and very good brushes but I do think they are a little over priced. They apply your make-up well and are very soft but they aren't anything special. They are priced as followed~
Blusher brush-£12
Eyeshadow brush-£9
Smudger brush-£9
I do think these are quite expensive for what you get and I much prefer the "Real techniques" brushes.

Bye.

How do you want to feel this summer Fit or Jealous??

Hey everyone
You might have already guessed from the question above what this post is going to be on, so yeah it is Getting fit for summer 2K15.

Last year I tried to get fit for summer, and it completely failed ( it's not my fault that the chocolate was screaming my name)
So this year I have decided to actually try hard to get fit for summer(although it properly won't even last a week!)
Anyway I'm thought I'd let you know what I'm attempting to do to get fit for summer.

FOOD

(I'm not going to talk about every meal cause that would take a while)

Breakfast

Breakfast has to be the worst meal of the day for me. There is just never anything I want so here are two breakfast ideas.

1) poached egg
This is so easy to make, tastes really good but is also super healthy

2) smoothies
Tip: use frozen fruit. It lasts longer and makes your smoothie cold and refreshing

Snacks

We all love to snack but most of the time on bad foods
So here are a few healthy snack ideas. ( don't forget it is ok to have a few bad snacks!)

1) popcorn
Buy plain popcorn kernels in a supermarket and drizzle a little bit of dark chocolate over the top and you have the perfect healthy snack that doesn't taste healthy but is actually good for you!

2) sliced apple with cinnamon
Some people don't like this but I personally love it

3) frozen fruit
This might sound weird but I love to eat frozen mango it tastes soooo good!!(don't judge)

Exercise

The word I hate but want to love.

I'm not gonna say much about this because I haven't properly started it yet and I'm definitely NOT an expert.

I wanted to start doing a workout everyday so I looked for an app to help and I found the 7 minute workout app this is such a good app and I really recommend it if you want to start doing a workout at home.

I'm also going to start to go running which I'm actually looking forward to!!!

So let's see if I can make this last more than a week!

10 things to do when your are off school/work!

I decided to do this post since right now if you attend school you most likely have some time of. A lot of the time I can't think of anything to do so I end up on google typing in " What to do when you're of school" or What to do when you're bored" . So I thought I'd help you guys out and give you some ideas!
Here we go:

1. Go out with some friends.
This is a really simple one but it can keep you entertained and is great fun. Even if it's cold or wet and rainy you could just get some friends together and watch a movie or have a pamper

2. Start a new T.V series.
Right now I've just stared watching Pretty Little Liars ( I'm on season 2) and it keeps me entertained for hours. There's such a wide variety of things to watch now that there will most definitely be something that you will enjoy.

3. Spend time with your pets.
This is a great way to pass some time as it will keep you entertained and your pets will appreciate it. I love spending time with my dogs and taking them
Pictured above is a recent walk on the beach.

4.Tidy our your wardrobe/closet.
Why not go through all your clothes and give the ones you no longer need to charity, it will make room for buying new clothes and help out other people which is great!

5.Start a blog/ YouTube channel!
If you have always wanted to , do it now! Since it's the holidays it means you have time to spend time on it and produce some great content!

6. Do some online shopping!
If no one is available to meet you and go to shops go online shopping it means you can shop in the comfort of your own home, without even being dressed.

7. Reorganise your room!
Are you sick of your room looking the same? Move stuff around then, it can make your room look so much better and it gives you something to do!

8. Cook or bake!
This is one of my favourite things to do. I love to look up new recipes online and try them out- even if they turn out bad it's still fun experimenting. You could even invite some friends round and have a bake- off!

9. Watch YouTube!
This is probably the most obvious. When I'm bored I sit and refresh my subscriptions box forever unti I finally accept there's nothing new to watch. I also like to find new channels to watch and subscribe to.

10. Do something creative and artistic!
By this I mean paint draw, do some DIYs! There's always ideas on Pinterest of what to make. Even if you make something completely pointless it will still pass time and you will most likely enjoy it. Something I think is great is making jewellery, I find this so fun and I'm also not artistic at all so I find this is one of the only things I can actually do that is artistic  in any way!

Thanks for reading! Sorry there were no pictures, I didn't really know what to post pictures of that would go with the topics!
Here's a picture of my dogs to make up for it!

Favourite Easter treat!

Hey everyone

I thought I'd do a baking post. I decided to make my favourite Easter treat which is Rice Krispie nests!! They are really easy to make but are sooooo good.

Rice Krispie nests

Ingredients
1 bowl of Rice Krispie (but I didn't have any so just used coco pops)
200g of chocolate
Mini eggs or some sort of small chocolate egg

1) first I melted the chocolate in a glass bowl.

2) Once the chocolate had melted I poured in the coco pops and mixed it all together.

3) I then spooned the mixture into cupcake cases (and made quite a mess as you can see) I also made a well in the centre for the eggs to go in.

4) Then put the nests in the fridge for roughly 15 to 20 minutes or until the chocolate has set.

5) When they are set take them out of the cases and place your eggs in the middle.

And then you are finished !!!

Comment below your favourite Easter  treat.
