3 Mug cake recipes!

Today I have 3 different mug cake recipes for you to try. Recently I've become obsessed with making mug cakes as they taste amazing and they are so easy!
I have a chocolate melt in the middle cake, a cookie in a mug( which is my favourite!) and a rainbow sprinkle cake.

Melt in the middle chocolate mug cake
Ingredients-

 4 tbsp self raising flour
 4 tbsp caster sugar
 3 tbsp cocoa powder
 2 tbsp beaten egg
 3tbsp milk
 2 tbsp cooking oil
 1 tbsp Nutella

Mix all the dry ingredients together in the mug  before adding the wet ingredients- not the Nutella. Then place the Nutella in the middle of the mixture. Place in microwave on high for 1 min then for 10-20 second intervals until you feel it is cooked all the way through .

( I added some white chocolate buttons on the top- not that it doesn't have enough chocolate already!)

Cookie in a mug

Ingredients-

1 tbsp melted butter-melt in microwave for 20 seconds
1 tbsp caster sugar
1tbsp brown sugar- I used Demerara
1 egg yolk
3-4 tbsp all purpose flour- depends if you want it gooey or a bit drier
2 tablespoons of chocolate chips/chunks

Optional -
I also chose to put a spoon full of Nutella in the middle of my mixture- which I highly  recommend , it tastes amazing!

Mix the melted butter with the two sugars before adding the egg yolk and the flour. Once stirred until all smooth add chocolate chips( and place some Nutella in middle if you want).

Rainbow sprinkle cake
2tbsp all purpose flour
2tbsp caster sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
2tbsp milk
Capfull of vanilla essence
2tbsp melted butter
2tbsp rainbow sprinkles
 A small pinch of salt

( I forgot to show the sprinkles in the picture- yes, I know they were the most important part!)

Mix all dry ingredients together before adding the wet ingredients. Make sure everything is mixed well before mixing in the sprinkles. Cook in microwave for 1 1/2 -2  minutes

What's in my bag~Winter edition

Today I thought I would share what is in my bag during the winter, I've never done one of these posts before but I thought now was the perfect time as since it's winter I tend to carry a lot more bits around with me.
Of course I'm not going to lie but I've only shown the things I really need, usually my bag ends up a mess with receipts and change covering the bottom of it!

The bag I'm using at the moment- and have been using for quite a while now is this small, brown over the shoulder bag. It is the perfect size to fit all my essentials in.I'm not actually sure where it's from as I received  this as a gift.

Of course I carry my purse~ whether it actually has any money in it is a different story! This is creamy/beige colour with gold hardware, it also has a snake skin like pattern on the front. This has so much room in it and it can even fit my phone in it which is an extra bonus if I don't feel like carrying a bag that day. I got this from River island for £17.

Compact mirror
Megan actually got me this as a present. It's so useful as it's small and means I can check up on how I'm looking throughout the day.

 I also carry~
Soap and Glory hand food hand cream. I can keep my hands feeling nourished throughout the day. This just has the typical Soap and Glory scent and it is very inexpensive but definetly a big favourite of mine.

Carex Strawberry laces hand sanitizer
I always carry this around as I hate the thought of having germy hands after touching door handles etc while being our and about. This is also great to use becaus it smells exactly like strawberry laces and of course, it is pink!

Rollerball perfume
I carry this around just so I can top up during the day, I got this from primark for about £2-£3 which is such a good price. It smells amazing and is very long lasting, which I did not expect for the price.

Next I have a few small essentials-
Earphones- Of course an essential for where ever I go, I always have to be listening to music. My favourite songs right now are basically all the songs from the new 5SOS album and I've also been loving Shawn mendes recently.

I also always have to carry hair bobbles with me wherever i go , these are just the black ones from Primark .i always end up tying my hair up even if I've styled it nicely because it just annoys me ,haha!

Lastly but definitely not least I have my new obsession! This is the Body Shop natural lip oil. When I first tried this I didn't think I was going to be to keen on it as I don't really like that it was an oil, I now would much prefer to use this over any lip balm. It is so moisturising but not stick in anyway and it sinks into your lip super quickly.

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed reading( and seeing) what my winter essentials to keep in my bag are!

Revision Tips!

Hey everyone,
I know this time of the year is meant for Christmas and winter posts however there is something else that takes place at this time of year. Exams. My exams start in January but I'm starting to revise now so I don't get too stressed at the time and so I can have time off at Christmas, because who wants to spent Christmas Day revising?!
I've put together some of my top tips for helping you revise and hopefully passing your exams!!

1- Make a revision timetable.
I did this really helps as I know exactly what I need to revise and when. This also helps me stick to a schedule.

2- Give yourself plenty of time.
Don't leave it till the week before your exam to revise. Give yourself plenty of time as your exam will be on every topic you've done meaning you may need to go back and revise some old ones!

3- Drink plenty.
Everyone always says this but it really does help.

4- Have breaks.
This is really important as nobody can concentrate properly if they've been revising for 2 hours straight! I like to revise for about half an hour to 45 minutes then have a 5 to 10 minute break.

5- Eat well.
By this I don't mean healthy although that might help I'm not sure but don't forget to eat. It's really easy to say I'm to busy to eat lunch or breakfast but, you will be able to concentrate and learn so much better if you've eaten.

6- Get out the house.
Go for a walk or meet with friends. It's important that you get some fresh air and try to relax for a bit so that your not always stressed.

7- Past papers.
These are great for eloping you revise and who knows you might get on of the questions in your exam!
Another thing to do is to time yourself doing past papers
If you have 30 minutes to do the paper for the exam only give yourself 30 minutes to complete the past paper, this will give you an idea of how much time you have or the exam.

8- Find a quite place.
Find a place that's quite so you can revise without distractions.

9- Bright colours.
This personally helps me and it makes revising a bit more fun!

10- Get plenty of sleep.
Especially before the exam make sure you have had enough sleep. You don't want to be falling asleep in the exam!

11- Put your phone away.
Out of sight out of mind. I'm always on my phone and I'm not very good at this one but I need to try harder because it does distract me a lot!

I hope you enjoyed this post! let m know in the comments if you have exams and any tips for revising!

How to fill those long winter nights!

As winter is now here the nights get longer and darker and it can be quite hard to find ways to keep yourself entertained.
I find myself just sitting doing nothing and getting a bit bored so I thought i would put together a list of things that you could try!

Bake!
Of course I'm going to mention baking, I love to bake! Winter time is great for baking as there is so many winter treats you can try out!
These are some salted caramel brownies I made... Yes,salted caramel and brownies all in one!

Organise/tidy your room
If you're like me then you will often find your room getting a bit messy and disorganised. If you have a free evening when you're not doing something give your room a tidy, it may seem a bit boring but once it's done you will really thank yourself!

Watch a TV series
If you find a TV series that you love  it will not be long before that's all you want to do! Whenever you have a free moment you'll think " I'll just watch one episode"- but of course that will soon lead to a season .... or the whole thing! Haha!
Right now im actually watching "Teen wolf", I heard someone speaking about it
and now it's fair to say I'm addicted to it!

Have a movie night
When it's dark and cold outside there's nothing better than being snuggled up in bed watching movies! Some of my favourites are definitely Pitch Perfect, Elf, all of the Harry Potter films and the Hunger games.

Do "nothing"
Yes ,the idea of this post was to keep you from being bored and so you were not just sitting doing nothing, but I mean relax. Have a hot bath, read a good book and just make the most of not having much to do-
( unless you're avoiding doing work or any other jobs- in that case why not do them jobs, they will be out the way and you will not have to stress about them while trying to relax)
I always grab a cup of tea, putsome fluffy socks on and watch YouTube!

Learn something new
By this I mean over the months that it dark outside pick up a new hobby ,that preferably ( for me anyway!) does not include going outside. This winter I'm going to teach myself to play the ukulele properly, I can play a bit ,but nothing very good! This could be sketching, baking or anything else you want to try

I hope I gave you some ideas of ways to fill winter nights, I also hope you are having a great winter so far,I am!

Review~ Blush and Glow

Hey everyone
Sorry for not posting last Friday I was ill and couldn't get out of bed😩🤒!
This week I thought I'd do a review as I haven't done one in ages.

I recently purchased the colletion blush and glow pallet as I'd heard fleur de force talking about it and it was only £4.99 I think which is amazing for this product.

The pallet has two blushes, a highlighter and a bronzer.

I don't use the blushes because my face goes red really easily which sucks haha! However they are really nice natural looking colours and I think they would be good if you used them.

The highlight in this is so good it gives your face a natural glow and shimmer.

I don't use contour a lot however I really like this one as I find it really easy to use and the colour isn't too harsh and also isn't orange toned which I like.

Overall this pallet is really good and the price is also amazing. It is definitely better than some of the more expensive drugstore contour pallets you can get so I would really recommend this pallet!

Let me know in the comments or on Twitter ( @TeaT42 ) any posts you would like to see on this blog!

GRWM ~A typical Sunday

Hi I never really do much in Sundays but I feel like that is what they are for. I love having a lazy day to relax before it's time to start another week.
On this particular Sunday I woke up before making a cup of tea ( in a really cute Pooh-bear mug of course!) and I actually decided to make the pancakes I did a blog post on last week for breakfast-which I definitely recommend trying out as they taste amazing!

On a cold winter  morning I feel there is nothing better than going for a nice hot bath.I added some Zoella Soak Opera to create some bubbles before using Lush
Sweetie Pie shower jelly to wash with.

Once I was washed i used my simple face wipes , used my toner then moisturised my face using the Superdrug Simply pure Hydrating serum .

My make up for today consisted of ~
•Rimmel wake-me up concealer
•Collection lasting perfection concealer
•Rimmel Stay matte powder
•MUA bronzer
•Maybelline colour Tattoo in "On and on Bronze"
•Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara
•Baby lips doctor rescue in "Coral Crave"

I also used my one direction perfume~ this actually smells amazing even if you don't like One direction I definitely recommend giving it a smell!

Since i wasn't doing anything special I just put on some casual clothes~
Grey Cable knit  jumper~Primark
Oversized tartan scarf~Primark
Black ripped Joni jeans~Topshop
White converse

It isn't the best picture as I was planning to go outside but of course it rained all day on both Saturday and Sunday! :/

I hope your winter is going well so far, this is my favourite time of year. I love everything festive , it's also my birthday in winter so of course that's something else to look forward to as well as Christmas( which by the way is just over 44 days away!).
