The perfect pamper evening!





When it's the colder seasons of the year I tend to to have a lot more pamper evenings, I think it's because it's so nice to be snuggled up watching a movie ,with a hot drink when it's cold outside.
I thought I would share with you my tips and essentias to having the perfect pamper evening! 

The first thing I always do is take my make up off. I love taking my make up off after having it on all day. I use the Garnier Micellar water. I apply this to a cotton pad then I just wipe it over my face and eyes to remove any makeup. 
I also used simple toner,massaging it into my face with a cotton pad aswell .

I find there is no better way to relax than running a hot bath,I always put either a lush product in or pour in some bubble bath.My favourite lush product at the moment is definitely the Yuzu and cocoa bubbleroon- it smells amazing!
I then love to apply a face mask to cleanse my face. I've been loving my       Mud mask.It leaves my skin very sofft and nourished.
The body wash I've been using at the moment is the Baylis and Harding jojoba,silk and almond oil luxurious shower crème.During the week I often don't bother moisturising my body as it can be a boring thing to do so I make sure I moisturise my body while having a pamper evening. I use the soap and glory moisturiser- this product makes it a lot more of a bearable task as it leaves an amazing smell that lasts all day.

Once I'm out the bath I will put I on a pair of my favourite fluffy pyjamas light a Wintery candle and watch a film or YouTube. I just recently watched "The Duff" and I loved it, I defiantly recommend it.i will also make myself a hot drink, usually a hot chocolate or a cup of tea. Once I've relaxed for a while I will then turn off the tv or my iPad and go to sleep.

Lee Stafford~ For hair that never grows past a certain length!

Hey everyone, 

So last week I picked up the lee Stafford hair treatment for hair that never goes past a certain length. 
I am so excited to see if this actually works because my hair stopped growing as soon as it got to about shoulder length!


My first impressions of this were that it smelt absolutely amazing (if you have ever smelt the Angel perfume by Thierry Mugler it kinda smells a bit like that) however I do think it's quite pricey as it was £8.49, but if it actually works  then I won't mind paying that .
The treatment is just a light pink coloured cream. It is quite a thin consistency which I find makes it easier to apply.



To apply this I just follow the instructions on the pot and put it on in between shampoo and conditioner and leave it in for five minutes. It says on the pot to use a scoop the size of an egg however, I don't need this much but my hair is quite thin so if you have thicker hair you may need to use that much. 

I've only used this a couple of times since I bought it but I've noticed that it makes your hair so soft and it looks in great conditions as well.
I've not been using it long enough yet to see if it has made my hair grow but I will probably do an updated review on it after about a month.


Overall I don't know if I would recommend it for the hair growth as I have only used it a couple of times so I haven't had a chance to see if it works however I have noticed my hair feels like it is in such good condition not to mention it also smells amazing so for that I would definitely recommend it!

Making Bounty bars!


 I love baking so I decided to do another baking post, last weekend I actually decided to make bounty bars -If you don't know what they are they are basically coconut covered in chocolate. These were so easy and tasted amazing and they were just like the original ones. The best thing about these is that you only need 3 ingredients!

Ingredients-
1 tin condensed milk-379g
200g descinated coconut
300-400g chocolate- I needed 400g but I think I used a bit too much so it will depend on how much you cover each one.

Pour the coconut and condensed milk into a bowl and mix together with a wooden spoon, then taking handfuls of the mixture mold it into bar shapes (or you could even make balls). I found it a lot easier if myhands were a bit damp as the mixture did not stick to my hands as much. Place all of your "bars" onto a baking try lined with baking parchment and place them in the freezer until they are less sticky and hold their shape- do not completely freeze them. 

Break your chocolate up into pieces and melt either over a pan of boiling water or in the microwave- I chose the microwave as I find it a lot quicker and easier. I put it in the microwave(on medium heat) for 1 minute then took it out and stirred it then put it in for another minute. I then left it to cool down- not harden.

Once they are cool cover your coconut bars in chocolate and leave to set.

These tasted amazing so I definitely recommend trying them out.

A day in the life~ Cupcake fail!

Hey everyone 
So today it is Sunday and I thought I would just blog my day and show you guys what I get up to in a regular Sunday ( which will proberly be not a lot!) 

So today I woke up at about half 8 and watched YouTube.


I finally managed to roll out my bed and get some breakfast at about 10, (I just had a bowl of frosties In-case you wanted to know!)
At about 10.30 I decided I should probably shower and get dressed! I used the soap and glory shampoo and conditioner cause this honestly makes your hair smell so good!


I also used the I love raspberry and blackberry shower smoothie which also smells amazing.



At around 1pm I  quickly made a sandwich cause I needed to go out at half 1 for a piano lesson.



(Totally off topic but I also managed to kinda French plait my fringe and I'm actually so proud of it (I tried to take a picture but it didn't really work so ill try again and put it on Instagram I'll put our @ at the end as well!)
I couldn't really be bothered to wear make up so I just put a little bit of the Rimmel wake me up concealer under my eyes to make me look awake!



When I got back from my piano lesson, I decided to bake Zoellas Funfetti cupcakes but then went on to realize,  just as I went to put the sprinkles in the cake mix, that we don't actually have any sprinkles (oops) so had to make them without them (haha)! At 15:36 (exactly!) my cakes were in the oven so I just made a cup of tea and watched some more YouTube and checked our Twitter (I'll put our @ name at the end.) Also let me know if you guys want to see more baking posts cause I really enjoy making them, so yeah let me know in the comments if you want to see more of them and I'll hopefully make some more and remember all the ingredients!


After I had my tea I iced my cakes and even though I followed Zoe's video exactly my icing was still runny and curdled!! Can anyone help me with that I just can't seem to make butter icing and I don't know what I'm doing wrong!! So in the end I covered my icing with grated chocolate cause chocolate is the answer to all problems!! ( Maybe baking posts wouldn't be such a good idea after this disaster!!)

Anyway I didn't really do anything for the rest of the night I just played a bit of guitar and got ready for school.

Tips on staying happy and positive!

Today i decided to list a few methods to help you stay happy! It can be hard to stay up-beat and happy all the time especially under the pressure of school, work,etc so i decided to put a list together of a few things that help me  and may help you.

Have regular pamper evenings!
This may sound like a bit of a silly idea but spending a little time to yourself just relaxing and  de-stressing can really help.Just run yourself a bath with a nice lush product,(who else cant wait for lushes winter/Christmas range!) read a book and relax.
In the picture below I've shown some of my pamper evening essentials.


Make yourself a jar of inspiring and happy quotes.
I actually made one of these as a present for someone, it is such a lovely idea and each morning or whenever you are felling a bit stressed you can pick out a quote and it will hopefully uplift your mood and make you feel a little more positive.


Take a break from whatever is stressing you out.
Whether its revision,homework or any other sort of work etc if its stressing you out keeping doing it is just going to make things worse and you most likely wont do it very well. Even if you just go away from it for 5-10 minutes that gives your head a little time to clear before you attempt it again.I find taking my dogs for a long walk by the river or through the fields is the best way to de-stress.


Live for yourself and not other people.
I don't mean this in a selfish way but many people try too hard to impress others and many people don't do things because of the way others would react.You shouldn't worry what others think, if it makes you happy do it(to a certain extent)!

Surround yourself with the best people.
if you feel like you cant be yourself around someone and you feel that they are not a true friend then don't feel like you need to keep them in your life,you don't! You should only surround yourself with the best of people and people who bring out the best in you.

Do things that make you happy!
It may not be what others want you to be doing but if its not going to affect anyone and its what you want,do it! Even if you want to do something such as join a club and none of your friends will go with you just go,you may even meet some new friends you have the same interests as you .

Sleep and exercise more
I know exercise....  but it has actually been prove that if you exercise and sleep more you will become happier.Exercise has prove to relax people and increase their brain power, even if you just do a little bit of exercise each day.If you follow us on twitter you will see that we have tweeted about the "Sworkit!" app, it is a great way to do a work out as you can pick the length of time and what type you want to do.Sleep allows our bodies to recover from the day and allows our body to rest and repair itself. More sleep means you have less sensitive emotions,helps us focus and be more productive  .All these factors help affect our levels of happiness so the more sleep and exercise the better.

Yoga
Yoga is something i have just recently started to love, it is so good for relaxing you.You don't need to join a club or anything you can just find some routines online, doing this everyday will help to relax you especially if you do it at the end of a stress full day. I just look up posers and routines on Google or YouTube.

Get to know us 2!

Hey everyone,

So as you will know if you read Chloe's post from Tuesday this week we are posting 'get to know me' type posts as we've be blogging for quite a while now (this will be our 50th post!) and thought we should let you guys get to know us a bit more!

1) My names Megan.














2) I have two sisters and one brother

3) I love music 














4) I play the oboe, piano, guitar and can play a tiny bit of ukulele.

5) We came up with the idea and name of this blog in our graph com class! Then spent the rest of the lesson not listening and taking about it!!














6) I used to do ballet.

7) I have no idea what I want to be when I'm older.

8) I love watching YouTube













9) I would love to make YouTube videos one day as well as the blog.


10) I love photography (although I'm not very good at it and all the pictures posted on a Friday are mine unless I mention that they aren't!)

Get to know us!

Many of you probably don't realise but there is actually two owners of this blog-me Chloe,and Megan who writes posts on Fridays! Since we have being writing posts for a while now we thought it was about time you found out a bit about us. This week we are bit going to tell you a bit about ourselves!

1. My name is Chloe as said above.

2. I love horse riding and I currently have a horse on loan.


(Not the best photo but I'm in all the good ones!)

3. I absolutely love animals and aswell as having a horse on loan I have my two dogs.

4. My two dogs are both Labradors, they are called Bonnie and Harvey. Bonnie is chocolate coloured and Harvey is black.

5. My dream job would definitely be a vet!

6. My favourite time of year is definitely winter time, especially since my birthday is in December and of course Christmas. I just love all the decorations, the snow and of course the Wintery smelling candles.

7. I got properly interested in make-up when I was around 13 I did wear a bit before that but never properly and I didn't  know anything about it.

8. A dream of mine is to travel to a lot of different places around the world once I'v left school.

9.Ive been to see one direction and 5SOS in concert and they were amazing!

10. I love watching YouTube and the first youtubers I discovered were actually youtubers that did videos on hamster care as I had a hamster at the time. I then discovered Bethany Mota before finding Zoe, Joe,Alfie, Caspar etc, I now am subscribed and watch so many different people!

GRWM- Casual weekend!


GRWM- Casual Weekend!



I haven't done a GRWM before so I thought I'd do one for a casual weekend for if you are meeting up with friends or just going into town.

So I first wash my face with the Olay facial cleanser and then I use my body shop face toner.



I will then moisturize my face. Today I went for the simple moisturizer. 


I then got dressed to give my moisturizer a chance to soak into my skin. 
So today I'm wearing these distressed jeans and I actually got these from Asda but I really like them and they are really comfy. 


I am then wearing this white crop top with cut outs in the sleeves that I got in new look which was reduced to £3 which is so good.
I then put on my kimono from primark that I'm sure you've all seen!! For accessories I don't usually wear that much jewellery but today I'm just wearing these pearl earrings I got from Primark and a silver Maltese cross that I got when I went on holiday.


Back to my make-up, I just decided to do a very subtle look. So I first of all put on my concealer I just used the rimmel wake me up under my eyes and the collection lasting perfection concealer  on any spots and blemishes. 



After my concealer I go onto mascara today I am using, as always, my body shop length and define mascara. 


I then just powder my face with the Rimmel stay matte powder. For my lips I used the bourjois lip crayon in the colour orange punch, this isn't as bright as you'd think but it's quite glossy so I just put some of the Rimmel powder on top which makes it matte and it also stays on longer!




I then choose pair of shoes (usually my white converse) and then I'm good to go!

My 5 top drugstore mascaras!


love mascaras, I use them nearly everyday and I've tried a lot of them so I decided to share my favourites from the drugstore.
Here is a countdown of my top 5-

5. Soap and glory-Thick&fast
I really like this as it gives a lot of volume and is easily applied. The only downside is that it can sometimes cause clumps but on the whole I really like it.

4. Rimmel -Wonder'Full Wake me up 
This gives a lot of length and volume, it also had vitamins and cucumber in it . The cucumber extract in it causes  it to smell very nice.The wand of this mascara is also a very unusual shape which makes it easy to apply and very volumising.

3. Rimmel- Wonder'Full with argan oil
This is a very defining and lengthening mascara. It has a flexible rubber brush with very thin bristles which means it really defines your lashes causing them to look very long. 

2.Max-factor 2000 calories 
This took me awhile until I liked this mascara, at first I found it very clumpy. I now love it and I find that if you just apply more than one coat that gets rid of the clumps. I often wear this to school and it stays on all day and does not smudge, it is also very volumising.

1. Maybelline lash sensational
Finally I have my favourite mascara I have ever tried, i love this. It makes your eyelashess look so long, volumised , defined and it stays on all day without smudging one bit. This has often been compared to roller lash and instead of paying more than £20 you can pick this up for only £7.99!
