Foundation review!!

Hey everyone,
(sorry this post isn't very long but next weeks will be!!)

I have used the rimmel match perfection foundation in the color 100 Ivory for a few weeks now and I love it!

This foundation has SPF 18 in it which is always a bonus.
It is also very budget friendly!!!

It has quite a thin runny consistency and is quite dewy.
This foundation is Not full coverage but I like that as I feel like I don't want a full coverage one at spring/summer time.
This foundation also smells great!!!
I also really like the packaging of this. It is in a glass bottle with a blue lid and pump. I like that this foundation has the pump as it makes it so much easier to use.

overall I really like this foundation and would defiantly recommend it!

let me know in the comments what you think of this foundation if you have it.
Right now we are away abroad so let us know in the comments if you would like us to do a post about our trip!!

My travel essentials!

Hey guys,i thought this would be a good post to do as right now I am away from home so I have packed many of these to help me get through the long hours of travelling.

1.Music
I think this is definitely one of the most important things as it helps pass so much time and it also blocks out noise which I love as I hate when your stuck travelling with noisy people!

2.Headphones
This kind of goes with the one above as it is essential to have headphones so you can listen to your music and watch films etc.

3.Comfy clothes
This is an essential for me as on long journeys I don't want to be stuck in tight clothes that I don't feel comfortable in.

4.Pillow/cushion
i always make sure to pack a pillow as it makes it easier for me to get to sleep .Even though it would be more convenient and more normal instead of taking a small pillow I just take one of pillows from home of my bed ( a clean one of course) as I find them a lot more comfortable, ha ha!

5.Food/water
I always make sure to drink plenty when I'm travelling especially on planes as your skin can become extremely dry.i also love to take a few snacks as if you're driving food at service stations can be so expensive and you will probably become peckish throughout the journey.

6.Notepad/pens
This is really useful as you could pass time by doodling or writing playing silly little games with your friend (or whoever you're with). i also find that i sometimes come up with blogpost ideas to write so its always useful to have a notepad!

7.Magazines
I wouldn't say this is an essential as such but i do love reading magazines  when I'm travelling and i find them a lot easier to carry around than books. they also sometimes have little puzzles or quizzes that you could do.

8.An extra jumper
I always take an extra jumper while travelling as i get cold very easily and it could also double up as a blanket.

9.Wet wipes and tissues
i find these so helpful because if you have any make up dusters or any other beauty (or not) related crisis you can use these to clean yourself up.

10.Makeup
I don like to travel with my makeup on as i find it really uncomfortable so i always take my makeup with me so i can put some on just before i get to my destination.

11.Tooth brush
I always take my toothbrush as i like to freshen up and feel a bit cleaner on the journey.

Other extras i take
  • Chewing gum
  • Antibacterial hand gel
  • sunglasses
  • plasters
  • sun cream

Thanks for reading!
Comment your travel essentials down below so I can maybe pick a few of them up!

Spring school morning routine!!

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd do a spring school morning routine today.

The first thing I do when I (eventually)wake up is check all my social media.

I then usually go and take a shower.
For my hair I just use the L'Oreal thickening shampoo and conditioner which smells so good! I then wash my body with the soap and glory sugar crush body was which smells sooooooo good!

Once I've had my shower I then go and dry my hair and do my make up. For my hair I usually just either leave it down or tie it up in a pony tail as i usually can't be bothered to do anything nice with it.
If you want to know what I do for my make up you can just check out my spring/summer make up post.

Once I've done my make up and hair I go and get breakfast. Breakfast has to be my least favorite meal of the day but it is important to have breakfast so don't skip it!!

I then brush my teeth and make sure I've packed my bag for school. Once I've done this I usually have some time just to watch a bit of You Tube.

I then put on my shoes, grab my bag and leave for school!

I hope you guys enjoyed my post. Comment below your favorite subject at school!!

Review:Rimmel Wonder'Full Wake Me Up Mascara

I decided to pick this mascara up partly due to the fact my current mascaras were running out but mostly because of how interesting it sounded. What drew me to this mascara was the bright metallic green packaging with orange writing and the fact that it smells of cucumber(Yes, it smells like cucumber!).

I have used this mascara every day since I've bought it and I really love it. This mascara gaurentees to uplift your lashes, give defined volume, and not cause any clumps. I find it really does define and lift your lashes while giving great volume. I was a bit skeptical about the wand as I thought it looked like it would cause the mascara to clump up but I actually really like it.

The wand is quite a unique but I find i really good because even if at first it causes a few small clumps if you just go over it again your lashes will soon become clump free.

I personally find one coat is fine for me if I just want a little volume or it's for school but I do prefer more coats. Most of the time I find one coat just isn't enough but even if you just add one more I find this a perfect amount. It really cause your lashes to look fuller without looking clumpy .

Overall I really love this mascara as it really defines my lashes and makes then look volumised and longer. I've already had compliments on how my lashes look a lot longer so it must work! It's also quite  reasonably priced and superdrug often had 3 for 2 offers on.
 Hope this helped!

P.s~ Sorry for the bad pictures, it was really hard to take pictures of the metallic packaging without getting things reflecting of it!

How to get thicker looking hair!!!

Hey everyone

Today I thought I'd do a post on tips to getting thicker, healthier looking hair.

I have quite naturally thin hair which can be annoying as it just seems to hang there and look horrible, so I looked on the Internet for some tips and products that make you hair look less lifeless and these are some that I've used that work.

1) don't wash you hair everyday. I used to wash my hair everyday and my hair looked horrible, so I decided to only wash it every second day and it looks so much better now.

2) L'OrĂ©al fibrology thickening shampoo and conditioner. This actually works it is the only thickening shampoo I've found that works!!

3) get your hair cut every 6-12 weeks. It is important that you do this so you get rid of your split ends.

4) after washing your hair before you get out the shower rinse your hair with cold water. This is really good for your hair and also makes it shiny.

5)use a thickening hair mask. I use this 1-2 times a month and it just moisturises and gives a bit more volume/thickness to your hair.

Tips you healthier skin and my skin care routine!

Lately my skin has been quite bad so i`ve found some ways to fix that . Here are some of my tips to healthier looking skin.

1.Drink more and stay hydrated!
i know everyone says this but it really does help your skin. You should drink up to 2litres per day, this sounds like a lot but if you spread it out over  the whole day it's not really. This will make your skin become a lot clearer and it will help to unblock your pores.

2.Don't fall asleep with your make-up on!
i know some days you just really cant be bothered to take your make-up off if its late at night but if you leave it on it will clog up your pores. This could lead to breakouts and your skin becoming greasy.Even if you just quickly wipe your make-up off with a wipe its better than leaving it on.

3. Have a set skincare routine!
This can help because if you have set products you're going to use you are more likely to stick to a routine,it doesnt even have to be complicated as long as it works for your skin.

4. Use products that sit your skin type!
Depending on your skin type you should pick products that suit your skin- for example if you have oily skin use a moisturiser for oily skin not for dry skin as it could lead to your skin becoming greasy.

5. Have regular "no-make up" days!
This will really benefit your skin as it will give it time to breath and revitalise after having days with make-up clogging up your pores. Even doing this once every week on a lazy day when your not leaving the house will really help.

The products I use!
I have combination skin meaning I have a mix of dry and oily skin, the areas round my cheeks and under my eyes are dry but my T zone is oily. I have a very simple skincare routine as my skin is very sensitive and can react badly to new products.
Morning
In the morning all I do is wash my face with warm water and then use the "Micellar cleansing water"to remove any make-up that's managed to stay on overnight. I know this May seem very simple but I find if I moisturise my skin in the morning aswell as night it becomes too greasy and oily.
Nightime
At night I use the "Micellar cleansing water" to remove and makeup I had on that day, then I was my face wash which is the "St Ives apricot facial scrub". This product is so good I've used it for months now and it always clears up my skin, there is different versions of it to suit different skin types-I use the one for oily/spot prone skin. I then use the "Simple kind to skin light moisturiser" which leaves my skin well moisturised and soaks in well.
I find these products work really well for my skin.

April Favorites!

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd do a April favorites this week as I picked up a lot of new products and things in April that I've been loving and want to share with you guys.

The first thing I've been loving is the L'Oreal Elvive fibrology thickening shampoo and conditioner. This actually works and makes your hair smell so good.

The next thing I've been loving is the Simple kind to skin hydrating light moisturizer. This is really light and not thick so your skin doesn't feel oily at all but yet it is still really moistening.

Barry m nail polish in 304 mint green. I actually picked this up a while ago but have recently been loving this shade as it makes me feel really summery.

Ghost perfume. I am so bad at describing scents so all I'm gonna say is it smells so good and you should go get it.

My only fashion favorite this month is also something I picked up a while ago. I actually picked this up last year (I think) in the summer sales. It's just a light wash distressed denim jacket from new look. This is really causal but looks good and it is also really easy to wear as it goes with anything!

My TV programme favorite of the month has to be Pretty Little Liars!!!

Thanks for reading let me know in the comments what you have been loving in April.

Drugstore make-up starter kit!

Today I decided to write my post on a drugstore starter kit. I thought this would be helpful for people who are just starting out with make up as I know it can be quite overwhelming when you walk into a shop and you have no idea what to buy.
I'm going to write them in the order I put them on my face.

1. Foundation or base.
"Rimmel wake me up" foundation.
This has light-medium coverage so it would be a good one to start out with, it also is very brightening and comes in a range of shades .

Concealer
I have two concealers which I think are great.
First the "Rimmel wake me up"concealer.
This is very good at brightening your undereyes and highlighting any other areas on your face.I would not use this to cover up blemishes as it has a bit of shimmer and it has not go the highest coverage.
 "Collection lasting perfection" concealer.
This is a high coverage concealer and is great for covering any blemishes or redness. The only bad thing is I would not use it under my eyes as I find it can become cakey.

Pressed powder
I've chosen the Rimmel stay matte powder as I find it is very good at setting your make up in place and stopping you from becoming shiny. It also comes in a range of colours to suit your skin tone.

Blusher
For blusher I've picked one from the MUA range, these products can be found at superdrug and online.
The blushers are one pound and the quality of them is great. They have great pigmentation and colour pay off. These come in a number of shades but the one I've chosen is in the shade "Bubble Gum" which is a lovely bright pink shade which is perfect for the spring and summer.

Highlighter
This is not an essential step but I decided to add it in as I've really been loving the "MUA undress your skin" highlighter. The product looks amazing as well as working really well. This is great to apply to the tops of your cheekbones to make them stand out . I have the colour Irdescent Gold.

Mascara
I think this is my favourite step as mascara completes your look and really makes your eyes stand our. I would recommend either "Maybelline Lash senstaional" or "Rimmel with argon oil".These both lengthen and separate your lashes as well as adding volume so are the perfect all rounders. The Maybelline one has also been compared to Benefit roller lash as it has a very similar wand.

Eyeshadow
I don't tend to use eyeshadow very often but I would really recommend the MUA or collection pallets as they have a range of neutral shades which are great for beginners and they are all very pigmented.

 Lips
I have a two lip products a lipstick and a lip gloss.
• MUA lipsticks~ these have great pigmentation, they're not drying, they come in a wide variety of colours and they come in matte or a glossy finish.
•Tanya burr lipglosses~ these are long lasting, add a nice shine and come in many colours.

Brushes
Brushes are very important as you will need them to apply your make up, even though you can use your hands I find it easier and more hygienic to use brushes. I really recommend the "Real Techniques" brushes as they are very good quality and apply make up very well .

Hope this helped!

spring/summer bedroom diys and ideas!!

Hey everyone

I thought I'd do a post on spring/summer bedroom diys and ideas because I don't know about you guys but I love to brighten up my room in the spring/summer time so I thought I'd share some of my ideas with you!

Mason jar light

This is really easy by looks so cool!

You will need:
• 1 mason jar or jam jar
•fairy lights
•black card (optional)

For this one I just got a old jam jar and put some little fairy lights in it that I got from IKEA for about £3-£4 but you can get them from anywhere. You can also get a A4 size of black card and use a pin to make tiny holes all over the card. Then wrap the card around the jar and tape it together at the back. Turn on your fairy lights and it looks like lots of little stars!

The whiteboard

This is so simple but it is really effective.

You will need:
• a whiteboard or you can use a chalkboard
• whiteboard pen or if your using a chalkboard some chalk

For this one all you need to do is get a whiteboard I just got this one from a pound shop and it came with a pen so this bedroom idea only cost £1!!
Then just write your favourite quote on it. This is really good because you can change your quote whenever you like and it is also budget friendly.

Ideas

Candles

They make your room smell good but also look really pretty.

Decorate

I put a china doll on my windowsill along with a mini tripod stand I think these look really cute and fill up a space. I also have this shoe that you can hang bracelets or necklaces on this is a great way to show off your favorite pieces of jewelry!

Pens

All you need to do for this is fill a coloured cup with different coloured pens. This brightens up your room but also looks really cool and is handy for when you need a pen!

I hope you liked my Diys/ideas kinda post. Let me know if you make any or use any of these ideas!
