Gooey chocolate brownies

Since it's been the holidays I've had more time to do things that I normally don't have time to do due to school Today I chose to do some baking, i decided to make some lovely gooey chocolate brownies. They turned out so good so I decided to share the recipe I followed.
Recipe
  • 200g Chocolate-(I used milk but dark can be used.)
  • 100g unsalted butter-(make sure it's soft so it's easy to work with)
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 4 large eggs (beat them before adding to mixture)
  • 1tsp vanilla essence
  • 60g plain flour
  • 60g cocoa powder
  • White chocolate chips-no exact measurements
  • Brownie tin or a deep baking tray lined with baking parchment

    • Method
    • Heat the oven to
    • 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Break up the chocolate. Put into a heatproof bowl and melt gently over a pan of boiling water.
    1. Remove the bowl from the heat and leave to cool until needed.
    2. Put the butter and sugar into the bowl of a food mixer and beat until fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla essence.
    3. Spoon the cooled melted chocolate onto the mixture then mix in thoroughly. Sift the flour and cocoa onto the mixture and gently stir in.
    4. When completely combined spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and spread evenly.
    5. Bake in the oven until firm to the touch but still a bit fudgy. The recipe stated it took theirs 20 mins but mine took around 30-35 mins. The chocolate will continue to cook slightly for a few mins after coming out of the oven.
    6. Remove the tin from the oven and set on a wire cooling rack. Leave to cool(or just eat them straight away!) then enjoy!
